Sir John Fowler, later 19th century suspension footbridge;
simple iron zig-zag balustrade; wooden deck. 84' span.
Sir John Fowler (1817-98) Engineer in Chief and joint designer,
the Forth (Railway) Bridge, brough Braemore (now demolished)
in 1865 and Inverbroom in 1867. He built 3 "very handsome
light bridges" across the River Broom, one being that over
the Measach Falls. Memorial tablet in Lochbroom Parish Church
