Description

Dated 1730. Centre 2 storey and attic wide 3-bay house with
2 additional bays at west and flanking single storey wings
added to gables. All harled with tooled margins. Centre
portion contains original 1730 3 wide bays with centre door
masked by modern projecting glazed porch and flanked by mid
19th century canted bays rising full height. 2 additional
bays with symmetrical fenestration with continuous roofline
with older house. 4 piended dormers. To east gable later
19th century single storey and attic 3-bay cottage addition
with projecting gabled centre porch; 2 piended dormer. To
west gable; single storey, 4-bay gabled wing with corrugated
iron roof. Multi-pane glazing throughout; corniced end and
ridge stacks; crowsteps to east 2-storey gable (oldest block)
slate roofs.
Wings to rear.
Interior; wide rear stair well to original house with some
late 18th century panelling at 1st floor landing.

Statement of Interest

Former Manse Main entrance door lintel inscribed "17 THE

MANSE OF FODDERTY 30". Datestone left of door inscribed

"17 IMK IB 30".
