Description

Earlier 19th century, 2-storey, 3-bay house; harled, painted
tooled margined centre door in south facing front; smaller
1st floor windows; 12-pane glazing; rear stair window;
corniced end stacks; slate roof. Later wing to rear.

Statement of Interest

Cruck framed hay/threshing barn close by 5 of the original

6 pairs of cruck blades survive, sawn off above tie beam to

accommodate new roof trusses. Unjointed cruck blades, which

are unusual in Wester Ross, where they are normally jointed

at wallhead height. Barn measures 65' x 17'6".
