Description

Probably mid-later 18th century, single span rubble bridge;
dressed rubble arch ring, slightly hump-back. No parapet.
Approximate span; 48'.

Statement of Interest

Known locally as "Wade's bridge". Now carries footpath,

probably the line of earlier road before Telford's

Parliamentary road of c.1810-15 which runs higher up the

slope.
