Description

Probably 1833. Single storey irregular plan entrance lodge;

whitewashed rubble with self coloured tooled ashlar dressings Symmetrical 3-bay NW front with projecting canted centre

porch and canted gables. Side lights flank entrance; 4-

centred arched heads to windows and doorways; paired shafts

linked by coping to centre ridge stacks; facetted piended

slate roof.

Similar porch in irregular SW elevation to rear wing with

later pair piended dormers breaking wallhead; mainly 4-pane

glazing; varied ridge stacks; slate roofs.

Serves Leys Castle, 1833.
