Originally modest 2-storey and basement mansion of c.1820
(good plasterwork dome formerly of staircase survives):
remodelled with large 3-storey additions, 5-storey entrance
tower, and conservatory in Italianate manner John Burnet &
Son archts: dated 1881.
Some interior alterations, but some very fine early J.J.
Burnet interior detail survives.
