Description

1692 or slightly earlier. Initials G.C. (George Calder) and
and I.S. (Isobel Skene) and date 1692 on stones not now in
their original position. 2-storey L-plan with circular stair
tower on N. side (ogee felt roof replacement of slated
original) and scale and platt stair (perhaps mid 18th
century) inserted in re-entrant angle. Harled, openings
mostly with modern rendered margins, original openings
have simple chamfer; straight skews, with skew-puts,
coped chimneys. One room at 1st mid 18th century, remainder
altered.

Statement of Interest

A small fragment of the E range remains together with a low

dry-dyked garden wall on the W.; a small partly demolished

office building remains on the E. side of what seems to have

been an outer court.
