Originally: L-plan. 2/3-storey in fall of ground 1747 or shortly thereafter. Reconstructed after fire damage John Smith 1838, new porch to N, S wall completely rebuilt, attics added to E wing. SW corner rebuilt 1847 (probably J & W Smith) NW wing raised from single-storey to 2 to give approximately symmetrical U-plan court 1868. 18th century panelling in W wing, Dining Room retains original 1840 decoration.
