1838, plans by Mr Callander of Dumfries, architect; later
19th-century alterations. L-plan manse, 2-storey 3-bay
symmetrical frontage to S. Ashlar with red sandstone margins
and quoins. Pilastered doorpiece with recessed fanlight and
panelled door. To ground, tripartite windows, corniced with
stone mullions.
1st floor windows single light, all sash and case windows,
lying pane glazing. Eaves band, moulded cornice. Concrete
tiled roof, corniced axial stacks. Projecting gabled rear
wing to E. 2-storey; rubble flanks and rear, mainly 12-pane
sashes.
Separately owned unlisted L-plan outbuildings within walled
courtyard. Converted to domestic usage 1980s. Many new
window and door openings.
