Description

19th century group of farm buildings forming opposite sides
of rectangular courtyard to N of Knocknalling House.
S RANGE: probably earlier to mid 19th-century single-storey
much altered rubble-built range. To left, taller
single-storey with square headed dormers to attic, former
coach house range with cart-entrances partly blocked, partly
with tripartite small-pane windows.
N RANGE: later 19th-century 2-storey preserving its original
character. Rubble walling, granite rusticated quoins,
bull-faced granite jambs. 5 vehicle entrances to ground. 1st
floor windows all 4-pane sash and case with ball-finialled
triangular pedimented dormer heads. To E end tall 4-stage
square tower. Pointed arch entrance, bipartite windows to
2nd. Clockface to 3rd: tall blind top stage corbelled out
with pyramid slate roof. Slate roofs throughout, axial stack
with individual granite flues.
