Probably earlier 19th century. Ice house; barrel-vaulted rectangular chamber, soil above covered with vegetation. Stone-built.
The ice house was an important part of an estate's ancillary structures as it enabled vital food supplies to be kept fresh for long periods of time. The blocks of ice would be cut and stored in the ice house in Winter. Allowing the chamber to remain cool in Summer.
