Earlier-mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay symmetrical double-bow fronted house. Unusual plan with central flue-bearing spine wall, square ground plan. Painted rubble walling, exposed granite angle and window margins; bull-faced to ground, smooth to 1st. Central doorway with smooth cavetto reveals, panelled door with fanlight. Single window above. Flanking centre bay bowed bays with single windows. All windows single light, sash and case with 4-pane glazing, except 1st floor to front and 1 at ground floor to rear unauthorised uPVC replacements and doors to rear. Finely dressed granite band over ground and at eaves, piended slate roofs with tall wide central stack with 9 octagonal cans. To rear, one and a half storey gabled wing, painted rubble with granite quoins, slate roofs, tall granite stack.
Unusual in plan and elevation for this part of Wigtownshire.
