Circa 1830. Single-storey cellar and attic, L-plan cottage. Asymmetrical 5-bay front with 2-bay rear wing. Rubble walling with raised sandstone margins and rusticated quoins, harled gable walls. Tetrastyle Roman Doric portico to left with cornice and blocking course. Single-light margined windows flank porch. 4 later gabled sandstone dormerheads to right. All windows sash and case with 12-pane glazing pattern except 16-pane dormers. Eaves cornice. Tall corniced axial and end stacks. Partially re-roofed circa 1970 with rubberoid tile to front, original graded slate roof largely retained to rear. Regrettable dormer.
Seven uPVC windows have been inserted without authorisation, with mock astragals. Steading lies close-by.
