Description

Circa 1800. Single storey, 3-bay cottage, bays grouped towards centre. Whinstone rubble with red ashlar sandstone rusticated gressings and eaves course. Door at centre with letterbox fanlight (oanelled door); windows flanking with 4-pane sash and case windows. Graded grey slates. Ashlar coped skew to left; rusticated stacks; zinc ridge. Cast-iron guttering. Single storey, piend-roofed wing to rear with attached lean-to. Stack and sandstone ridge.

Statement of Interest

Formerly known ad "cronie", this is a fine example of the traditional vernacular cottage, retaining features of particular interest. Passage to left, between No 25 nad later cottage.
