Description

Earlier/mid 19th century. Pair identical single storey 3-bay
lodges flanking main drive to Cowhill house. Squared rubble
with ashlar dressings and gabled open porches, all painted.
Each lodge has main elevation to driveway, hood-moulded
windows (tripartite casements with wooden mullions) in
splayed reveals, central porch with panelled square columns
with Tudor-arched openings, central ridge stack with 2 squat
diamond flues and piended roof with overhanging eaves all
covered with graded slates. Panelled square red ashlar
gatepiers with ball finials; curved low quadrant walls
bull-faced red ashlar; cast-iron Gatepiers.
