Description

C18th early C19th. On site of earlier house. Birthplace of
George Buchanan.

Statement of Interest

Much restoration. 2/3 of original house demolished in 1968

consisting of a 3 storey extension with a mansard roof, built

in 1906. Now original house exists with a modern extension

(unglazed on front elevation) to left of house, and the

original porch restored. Very carefully done piece of

restoration.
