Description

Dated 1750. Bridge comprising 1 large span with smalled span to south end, over Endrick Water. Rubble with dressed stone voussoirs, intrados and triangular cutwater. Drip-moulds over arches. Coped parapet. Keystone to west side of large span consists of palmette under a dated panel surmounted by carved head.

Statement of Interest

Partly rebuilt, exactly as original form in 1966. The bridge is on the line of the old road from Glasgow.

Bridge previously a Scheduled Monument. Removed from Schedule on 27 May 2014.
