Description

Early-mid 19th century (possibly incorporating earlier core).
2-storey and attic (basement and raised ground floor built
against side of hill), 3-bay cottage. Rubble with contrasting
painted margins.
Centre entrance approached by forestair; panelled door;
basement doorway and window. 2 later gabled wallhead dormers;
varied glazing. End stacks; slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Fireplace lintel set in gable wall inscribed 'Peter Johnston

1789'. The lintel was in No 8 Crovie, now demolished, which

shares a common gable wall with No 9 Crovie.
