Description

Earlier to mid 19th century, with later extensions to E
and W. Single storey piend roofed cottage. Red
sandstone rubble, with grey stone additions; droved
ashlar dressings; regrettable pointing. 4 irregularly
spaced bays to S; door at centre, through decorative
timber, Jacobean gabled porch (added later), currently
boarded-in. 2 windows flanking to left, 1 to right in
later extension, each with painted margins and
diamond-paned timber, bi- and tripartite casement
windows.
Cottage abacks policy wall. Flat-roofed addition to N.
Overhanging eaves with timber brackets. Purple slates.
Corniced ridge stacks. Slate-hung box dormers to E and
W.
