Description

Originally 2-storey and attic L-plan with 3-storey
rectangular stair tower corbelled out at 2nd. Probably
late 16th century; semi-circular tower centre S. front
with steep batter, 1633 dormer head inserted over ground
floor opening, now with swept top, originally conical
(? if this feature is relict of earlier house). Outshot
with dormer heads at 1st on N. side projecting beyond
line of stair tower. Rubble-built and crowstepped,
partly restored. Scar of W. wing, coach-house now on
site mid 18th century with semi-elliptical arch in W.
gable crowsteps 19th century. N.E. office wing, much
altered. Recently restored.
