3-storey L-plan, dated 1583. Rubble-built, armorial panel
framed in balusters over door: inscription 'THE LORD
DEFEND THIS HOVS.' Bartizan at wallhead above, crowsteps
and bartizan renewed 1831 (dated) original chimneys replaced
by new ones of octagonal pattern. Angle turret at N.E. angle
with corbelling embedded in later additions. 4-window
addition early 19th cent incorporating older work (built
up pend arch). Long gallery along N. side of house with
ribbed plaster barrel vault, probably 1831.
