Description

c.1905. Edwardian. Square. 1 storey and loft. Harled;
pyramidal slate roof; ball-finial; 2 gablets (one with
chimney above). String-course. Segmental-headed
windows.
Interior: Storeroom, kennels, and loft. 3 dog-pens
adjacent to W: rubble walls; cast-iron-railing.

Statement of Interest

A landmark. Built for Sir Peter Mackie of Glenreasdell

and named Spion Kop after Boer War battle. Has been

converted into additional accommodation for neighbouring

house. Dog pens have been made into terrace.
