Description

Late 18th century. Single span, segmentally arched bridge over River Tyne, aligned E-W. Approximately 55 feet span, squared and snecked rubble with droved ashlar dressings and soffit. Rock-faced voussoirs, piers and keystone, band course above parallel with parapet, angled at crown, splayed widening at abutments which taper to drum piers.
