Description

Home Farm with irregularly grouped steading to W of Farmhouse. FARMHOUSE: dated 1839, with alterations, 1920. 2-storey gabled T-plan with advanced entrance bay, single storey piend-roofed addition to NW. Front of rubble whinstone, other elevations rendered; long and short grey ashlar dressings; chamfered arrises.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 3-bay gabled projecting jamb with boarded door at centre approached by 3 steps; stone with initials TR and date 1695 rests on lintel. Narrow flanking windows at ground with dates 1839 and 1920 in cills, single window above in gable. Single storey flanking bays with large box-dormers.

Small-pane timber sash and case windows and metal casement dormer windows. Grey slates and projecting eaves.

IMPLEMENT SHEd: early 19th century rectangular rubble shed with piended slate roof. 5-bay open N wall with massive ashlar columns.
