Burial-place enclosed by die-wall with spear-head railings. Grave-stone (erected 1738) with inscription.
Nearby Rullion Green (eastern slope of Turnhouse Hill) was the secret meeting place of Covenanters. The Battle of Rullion Green was between the covenantors (who lost) and Charles II's army. The tomb commemorates 50 Covenanters from the SW killed on 26th November 1666, and buried here. The nearby "Preaching Field" is the site of a July commemoration service for those who lost their lives.
