Description

Late 19th/early 20th century. Single storey public building
with large angle turret. Snecked and stugged ashlar with
polished dressings. Semi-octagonal corner with open columned
logia supporting balustrade. 2-stage octagonal tower, 2nd
stage corbelled with clocks inserted on alternate faces.
Crenellated parapet with small, corbelled angle turrets. Wing
to south 3 unequal bays with prominent projecting canted
window in central gabled bay; outer bay with conical roofed
drum at angle.
East Elevation with single lights to library. All gables
crowstepped, slate roof with red ridge tiles.
