Description

Circa 1860. Peddie and Kinnear, U-plan row of 12 single
storey farm cottages. Roughly squared whinstone rubble,
stugged ashlar dressings. Centre block with depressed-
arched pends to 4th bay from each side, in advanced
gable with blind arrow-slit window and finial. Doors
with strip fanlights and flanking windows. 2 blocked
windows and lancet above to gable ends.
Harled at rear with alterations.
Sash and case windows with 16-pane glazing pattern and
broad mullions.
Grey slates, ashlar coped skews with gablet skewputts.
Ashlar paired diamond ridge stacks, single to gableheads.

Contemporary with Phantassie Steading, also Peddie and

Kinnear, listed separately.
