Description

18th century. Large double lectern dovecot. Red sandstone,
formerly harled. 29' x 18'7" in plan. Crowstepped gabled and
central party wall and grey slates. Rat course to sides and
rear. 2 doorways at S with square windows above under eaves.
Flight holes in horizontal line, halfway up roof pitch. 1422
nests.

Statement of Interest

Built as dovecot to Spott House. Very similar to Bourhouse

Dovecot to NW, listed separately. One of largest dovecots

in East Lothian.
