Statement of Interest

The early 20th century alterations to Innes House included

the creation of a new main entrance to the house from the

north. The original entrance became the garden entrance, the

new garden being laid out as part of the alterations. The

plans for the garden were slightly modified after the death

of Captain Mark Tennant in 1916 and the rose garden (Mark's

Garden) dedicated to his memory.
