Description

Thomas Telford, 1808-11. 2-span bridge; rubble with tooled
granite dressings. Pair unequal tooled granite arch rings.
Tooled granite cutwaters rising as buttresses; later cast-iron
ties. Tooled granite parapet, portion of which is missing
on SW (upstream) side; splayed approaches.
Approximate spans; main arch - 50' and secondary (flood
arch) - 36'
