Description

Rebuilt 1940 by Wm. L. Gavin from ruins, new work coursed
pinned granite. 16' x 6' 6" start and awe Wheel, 3-ring iron
frame. Oatmeal mill, vent with cow vane.

Statement of Interest

Ruined In 1880 it was reconstructed as a barley mill and

continued until 1916. In 1921 it became a small engineering

works and later a pre-cast concrete and cement block

establishment. Taken over by W.L. Gavin 1940 and in operation

again Nov. 1941. (information supplied by W.L. Gavin)
