Ruin, dated at top centre S.W. panel 'In This/Hunter's
Lodge/Rob. GIBB/Commands/MDCCLXXIX.' Simple rubble-built
2-storey rectangle S.W. frontage of 3 square windows (2 above
1 below) checked for shutters and chamfered door. N.E. frontage
2 window at 1st, blocked door at ground. S. angle collapsed.
Landmark. Built by Captain Fraser who was also responsible for
the White Horse nearby (c.1773) formed of quartz stones. The
stag on the S.E. slope of Mormond Hill was formed in the same
manner to the order of W.F. Cordiner in 1870.
