Probably John Smith c.1821. Single-storey pinned granite,
low-pitched broad eaved roof, 2 window front with distyle in
antis wooden Greek doric portico, unfluted columns.
Built by Lord Lovat for his wife Miss Leslie of Balquhain;
a small chapel and priesthouse was subsequently built outwith
the policies in 1854 prior to the sale of the estate to George
Baird of Gartsherrie in 1855. shown as antiquity in O.S. but
does not appear to incorporate earlier work; not shown in
Boulton's estate map of 1846 probably because it was intended
to remove it.
