Earlier 19th century. 2-storey and basement, 2-bay terraced, mirrored pair of rectangular-plan houses. Render to No 23, harl to No 21; ashlar dressings. Modillioned cornice; quoin strips; painted margins to openings.
SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: common steps to central entrance; paired timber doors with fanlights; unifying hoodmould with labelstops; 2 single windows at 1st floor. Flanking single windows at basement; bipartite windows at ground floor; single windows at 1st floor.
Plate glass timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; stone skews; coped gablehead and ridge stacks; circular cans.
INTERIORS: not seen 1997.
RAILINGS: decorative railings to street.
Good example of earlier 19th century housing fronting main route to harbour. Forming wider terrace with No 25 (listed separately).
