Earlier to mid 19th century farmhouse and steading.
FARMHOUSE: 2-storey and attic, 3-bay, with lower gabled wing to W. Painted rubble. Painted raised margins.
E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: corniced margin to door at centre; boarded door and fanlight. Regularly disposed fenestration at ground and 1st floors, taller windows at ground floor. Canted and piended dormer windows above outer bays.
S ELEVATION: window to left and right at ground floor. Bipartite window to left at 1st floor. Wing recessed to left; window to left at 1st floor; bipartite window to left and right at ground floor, and to right at 1st floor.
W ELEVATION: window at ground and 1st floors to left. Gabled bay advanced at centre; door and 2 windows at ground floor, and 3 windows at 1st floor to N return. Gabled wing adjoined to right; blank to W; lean-to to N in re-entrant angle with central gabled bay. Screen wall to NW linking rear wing with gabled building to N.
N ELEVATION: gabled and blank.
4-pane glazing in sash and case windows; some modern glazing to rear wing. Coped skews. Banded painted rubble stacks, gablehead to N and S, ridge at centre to rear wing. Graded purple-grey slates. Octagonal cans.
STEADING: situated to N of farmhouse. Two parallel ranges of buildings, running N-S. Various ranges of buildings, some gabled, some piended. Painted rubble. Small grey slates. Piend-roofed byre range to W. Barn to SE; double-piend-roofed byre range adjoined to N. Circular horse mill, between building to E and adjoining barn to W; central timber pier, aided by brick columns; gearing removed; concial slate roof with ball finial.
