Description

Moffat mineral well said to have been discovered in 1655,
several generations of buildings constructed at well, but
only fragments now remain; surviving structures comprise,
principally, a rectangular-plan rubble-built (masonry of more
than one date) gabled well house, open to S, and with
corrugated iron roof, mineral well contained within; footings
and column base sockets of 19th century shelter survive to S.
