Description

Probably David Bryce, circa 1865. Barge-boarded Tudor lodge
with gatepiers and railings. Stugged ashlar, with polished
dressings and piers.
LODGE: Single storey. Asymmetrical, with advanced gables
mullioned windows and cusped barge-boards.
N ELEVATION: open porch right with shouldered openings,
canted ground floor window left corbelled and curved to
square with main roof breaking forward over. Axial stack,
paired square flues with linking cornice; roofed with graded
slates. Low rear (S) wing.
PIERS: 4 panelled and corniced square piers each with ball
finial; curved long low cope with decorative cast-iron gates
and barley-sugar standards with elaborate spikes to railings.
