Description

Earlier/mid 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay farmhouse with
recessed low E wing. Whin rubble with red ashlar dressings,
margins and rusticated quoins.
S ELEVATION: central Roman Doric-columned porch, panelled
door with fanlight; sash windows corniced at ground, with
4-pane glazing pattern, 12-pane at 1st floor; base course and
eaves course. Corniced end stacks; piended roof, with graded
slates. 2-bay flanks; piended wing has blank S wall. N
elevation has 2 added porches, and tall, key stoned,
round-arched stair window, piended M-roof.
INTERIOR: decorative cast-iron stair balusters and cornice
plasterwork. Low piended outbuilding/garage to NE.

Statement of Interest

Ground floor window at S end of W wall has date 1860

scratched on one pane. Steading not included in listing.
