Description

Early 19th century. Farm steading with conical-roofed
circular disused horse-mill to east. 4 ranges built around
quadrangular courtyard on sloping ground beside road (south
and west ranges excluded from listing). Single storey with
lofts. Rubble-built with ashlar dressings, all whitewashed;
openings all square-headed. Roof of horsemill partly
supported on series of upright monoliths: adjoining
steading range on 2 levels (loft at north where horsemill
adjoins) and detached from remainder of steading group.
North range also on 2 levels, part to east taller with 2
square loft openings to either long wall, loft door in east
gable, 2 square-headed cart openings to courtyard. Straight
skews; slate roofs.
