Description

Charles Howitt of Drumlanrig estate, architect. Dated 1867.
2-storey 3-bay house. Bullfaced pinkish ashlar with polished
dressings and hood-moulded Tudor-arched openings. Inner bay
advanced and gabled with boarded 2-leaf door; windows all
bipartites with lying-pane glazing; gabled dormer heads;
saw-toothed skews; projecting chimney breasts with corniced
end stacks; roofed with graded slates.
Twin-gabled rear wing not all one build.
