Description

Probably early 19th century. Long single storey row
comprising 3-bay cottage with small, former farm steading
adjoining. Cottage at west end, full-height byre adjoining -
both these under continuous gabled roof; lower stable at east
and lean-to beyond. All rubble-built, cottage with ashlar
margins; whitewashed; contrasting painted margins.
House: central boarded door with narrow fanlight, flanking
windows with 6-pane glazing; dormerless attic with skylight
and gable-head light; end stacks.
Byre: central boarded and glazed door approached by (later)
steps; small flanking vents.
Stable: door left; small window and triangular vent. Stable
gable-head, roof and roof of lean-to all corrugated iron;
main roof covered in small uniform slates. Cobbled pavement
in front.
