Description

Essentially late 18th century in appearance, but
incorporating earlier fabric; former manse, "repaired" 1722,
1736 & subsequently. 2-storey with attic. 3-bays; rear wing
added forming T-plan. Rubble-built, ashlar dressings, all
painted. South elevation: shallow central porch added
probably first half 19th century with piended and platform
roof, door in re-entrant angle, window cills lowered perhaps
also late 18th century and upper window left widened; 12-pane
sashes; 2 piended dormers; straight skews; corniced end
stacks; slate roof, swept over eaves. Lower 2-storey rear
wing not all 1 build (may encase circular stair turret); low
lean-to adjoining north gable extends east.
Interior: 6-panelled doors; simple plasterwork; re-used
Georgian chimneypiece in sitting room.
Garden enclosure to east, walled on 2 sides (walls adjoin
house).
