Description

Probably 19th century. Hebridean-type thatched cottage,
with byre alongside. COTTAGE: single storey; 3-bay east
front with central door; rubble-built slightly battered
walls; end stacks; muran thatch roof secured with
netting and stone weights over inner wallhead. BYRE:
also rubble-built, east-facing door; corrugated-iron
gabled roof. Pavement to front; stackyard to rear (west)
clearly indicated by raised circular (stone) stack
stands.
