Description

1871, D Bryce. Rebuilt 1894's by Sir Robert Lorimer. Scottish style.

2 storeys and attic. Harled with stone dressings; slate roofs with gabled dormers at sides. Crow-steps. Battlemented square tower with moulded entrance with panel above containing crest and date '1871'.

1 storey-additions. Interior: Wainscotting and moulded plaster ceilings in stairhall, and drawing room. Ornamental plaster combed ceiling with round concave decorative centre in a bedroom.

Statement of Interest

Built for J Fox Tarrat. Rebuilt after it was gutted by fire (1894).
