Probably mostly built first half of 19th century. Single storey with attics; 3 ranges in U-plan around courtyard. Rubble-built; part harled, particularly courtyard and west elevations and south gables.
West elevation: 3 southern bays, inner advanced and gabled with end stacks, 2 additional bays to left. East range: east elevation with 3 single storey bays and 3 (taller) bays with windows at attic level only;
forestair to courtyard. North range with Post Office, central south-facing door between 2 windows. Small-paned sash windows; slate roofs. Outbuildings to east and to south-west.
