Description

Perhaps mid 18th century (before 1805). Substantial
quadrangular walled garden with modern bungalow within;
formerly associated with Boisdale House. Walls all
rubble-built, openings inserted/altered on 3 sides.

Statement of Interest

Shown on RHP 3066 in S.R.O. which is dated 1805.

Potatoes were first introduced to the Outer Isles circa 1740

by MacDonald of Boisdale who grew them at Kilbride (see the

Highlander 1.11.1873).
