James Scott, mason, 1823. Semi-sunken ice house. Turfed rubble masonry, ashlar margins. N facing doorway with lobby and inner doorway (doors missing); barrel-vaulted chamber with blocked roof opening.

Statement of Interest

James Scott's account for quarrying out the foundation and building the ice house is dated 1823.
