Description

Early-mid 19th century. Single-storey, 6-bay smithy. Roughly squared rubble, wooden lintels.

E ELEVATION: 2 doorways; broad door to centre, stable door to outer right, windows retaining vertical, overlapped, lying-pane glazing pattern. Window to N gable, small, lean-to addition at rear.

Slatted vertical glazing pattern. Corrugated asbestos roof. Ashlar coped skews, brick stack to S.

INTERIOR: 2 forges retained.

Statement of Interest

Blacksmith's cottage opposite, incorporating earlier bothy at rear.
