1930's 2-storey detached villa,roughly L-plan;mixture of traditional materials and Modern references.Rock-faced rubble,pitched slated roofs with timber-corniced slightly overhanging eaves,red ridge tiles;Art Deco glazing and wrought-ironwork.
S ELEVATION:broad single S-facing bay,with strip-glazed semi-circular bowed window at ground,with Art Deco wrought-iron balustrade;wide 8-light window recessed at centre of 1st floor (timber mullions).
W ELEVATION:4-bays:2 2-storey bays to right of projecting square-plan pitched roofed stair tower,lit by continous vertical strip window,with amber-coloured Art Deco style leaded glass;door in canted porch in SW re-entrant angle,with wrought-iron Art Deco balustrade,2-leaf diaper-patterned oakdoor.Lower single storey wing toleft with plate glass window jettied out on iron-work bracketing.Boundary wall rebuilt to W;original wrought-iron gate at SW.
INTERIOR not seen (1991).
Listed for quality of surviving Art Deco glazing.
