continuous roofline broken above archway linking these ranges
(arch has single storey elevation, footings survive of
original feature above wall-head). Herring-bone-stugged red
ashlar, polished raised margins; slate roofs.
WAREHOUSE RANGE (KNOWN AS WELLDALE MILL, BUT USED AS
STORAGE): openings mainly blocked or with timber louvers; 3
inner bays (perhaps originally domestic) built first,
extended to N and to S in sympathetic manner but with
irregular bays and with band courses between floors; N gable
(to Nicholson Street) has 4 (unequal) bays plus attic
opening; gabled pulley hoist over wall-head on extension to
S. Single storey weaving sheds to rear, wooden roofs on
cast-iron columns; also a 3-storey 6-bay block.
HOUSES: 8 bays in total, originally 8 doors, including closes
and pend, 1 door now a window; pair houses nearest N now one
house, remainder of row unoccupied (1987); band course
between floors; eaves/lintel band; skews; end and axial
stacks.
On corner with Nicholson Street.
